Bell 206 is a family of single-and twin-engine light helicopters with two-blade rotor, developed by the U.S. Bell Helicopter Textron the end of the sixties and still in production. The first Bell 206 was originally developed for the program Light Observation Helicopter dell’United States Army, but you won the bid. The Bell redesigned the structure modifying it to accommodate five people and marketed it successfully on the civilian market under the name Bell 206A JetRanger. The new model was also selected by the U.S. Army, who gave him the name OH-58 Kiowa. The Bell developed a further seven-seat version, which he gave the name of LongRanger and which was later also offered in version with two motors and the name Twin Ranger.
In the Italian version JetRanger was manufactured under license from’Agusta with the designation Agusta-Bell AB206.
